Kafue National Park Accommodation Options
Mukambi Safari Lodge
Mukambi Safari Lodge is in the centreof Kafue National Park, on the banks of the impressive Kafue River. Viewing decks, the accommodation and the swimming pool all overlook the River and the herds of elephant or buffalo that come to drink from the hippo- and crocodile-infested waters. Lion, leopard and cheetah can be spotted from the decks.
Mc Brides Camp
Seven private thatched two person chalets with en suite bathrooms. Each chalet has a unique view, either of the river or the bush. A comfortable verandah allows one to view the many species of birds and wildlife from the chalet. Chalets are built in the traditional fashion and consist almost entirely of natural materials available in the area, thereby adding to the African Safari experience

Shumba Camp is located in the centre of the Busanga Plains. The Camp comprises six spacious luxury safari tents on raised platforms with spectacular views of the surrounding plains. The rooms are large, en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers. The dining and bar area is elevated so as to take in this vista and each morning’s sunrise; dinner takes place either here or in the cosy boma where guests can also enjoy elements of local Zambian culture.
Kaingu Safari Lodge
Kaingu Safari Lodge is located in an area of pristine wilderness, offering a magnificent safari experience in the heart of the African bush. The Lodge plays host to a spectacular stretch of the Kafue River. The Kafue National Park with its abundant game, is just opposite the Lodge and only a 10 minute boat trip away.
Mayukuyuku Camp is a small, intimate, river-side bush camp, set in a prime area of the Kafue National Park, with easy, year-round access. There are river views from shaded verandas and hammocks to lounge in. There are excellent game viewing opportunities. A comfortable lounge and dining area face downstream enjoying particularly spectacular sunsets in June, when the sun aligns with the river. During the dry season when the river drops, the view is of beaches and grass where antelope, hippo and warthog come to drink and to graze. Crocodiles lounge languidly in the sun on the opposite bank
Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp
The Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp is in the remote southern sector of Kafue National Park on the Nanzhila Plains. It offers guests an exclusive and intimate experience of the African bush. The boma, of circular seating area, looking out onto the Nanzhila Plains, is shaded by ancient ebony and sausage trees and is a meeting point, a lounge, a dining room, and a star gazing gallery. This camp offers quality accommodation in well-appointed cottages and luxury tents.
